Kuan Yin is often depicted as a female figure with a serene expression, seated or standing on a lotus flower. She may be depicted with multiple arms, each holding a different symbolic object, such as a lotus flower or a vase of compassion. In some traditions, she is also associated with the bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, who is also revered for his compassion and is often depicted with multiple arms and heads. Kuan Yin is a popular figure in Buddhist practice, and many Buddhists pray to her for protection, compassion, and spiritual guidance. She is also revered by many non-Buddhists as a symbol of compassion and kindness.
